Except you have to register with a credit card? Has anyone used this avenue to buy a car?
It's been at $14k ($13,600us) for three days now, with three hours to go it will be interesting to see if anyone jumps in at the end. Seems as though someone's going to get a bargain compared to a build price.

Hi All
I saw this car today. It sat outside for more than a year so look a bit rough from that. Of more concern is that I don't think those air cleaners keep out rain water so that uber expensive twin plug race engine may be water logged.
I guess this car was siezed at customs then sat at the impound yard in Montreal. Doesn't seem the government cares about wrecking a beautiful race car.
This is not an eBay auction so the $14k listed is the minimum bid amount. It is a sealed bidding process highest bidder gets the car. The guy there doesn't even know how many bids are submitted until after the auction is closed.
This thing is a full on race car I don't think there's any going back for it.
This car is two minutes from my office so if someone wants me to look at it just call my cell 613-880-2879.

I would be curious to know how it became impounded. I wonder if the smugglers box converted to battery storage when race prepped, or was it in use as the name implies.
Don't know your friend, but I hope people can find the humor in this.

My friend is the one who owned, built, raced & sold it. It is the guy he sold it too that lost it. Turns out the guy (a French Canadian) who bought it fibbed about how much he paid for the car (and maybe some other cars too) and tried to get around taxes & import duties. So no John Paul 911 here, just a very simple trying to avoid high taxes... BTW, the car was built & owned in SC.![]()
