My other summer project.. Honda EZ90 Cub

Winter and spring lasted until July this year. I really need to get a heater in my garage so I can work on my projects all year around..

I bought this Honda 2 years ago as a pile of parts along with a frame with a motor in it.

These are the best pit bikes ever made. Electric start, no gearbox, no gas mixing, can seat two in a pinch. Go to any IRL race and these are what the drivers and crew use to get around the pits and paddock. They were only made by Honda from 1991 to 1996.

This is the fourth EZ90 Cub I've owned in the past 12 years. The first was used during title sponsorship of open wheel racing here in the US. I spent an entire winter finding one, fixing it up and painting it in the corporate colors, only to surrender it back to TN when the sponsorship ended. It was enventually raffled off for UWay donations, urgh..

The next two I found here in MT and sold to fellow Porsche and Race addict in OR as additions to his collections. One is now being used in the IRL by the grandson driver of a famous Indy driver/team owner.

This one was for me and to use to teach my girls how to ride a motorbike.

After much effort and some judicious parts shopping on Ebay and at the local Honda dealer, this one runs great, starts easy and has enough umph even at 6000 ft to be fun. I think I'll use it to get the paper from down the road on weekends.. They even made a snow track and ski attachment for them to be used during the winter. Now that would be fun..

Now I need to finish parting out that 2002 in the background, finish painting the house and oh yeah, enjoy the 911..

Thanks. I allways wondered about these bikes. You certainly see them at
races. What should they go for?
