My interest in this car is peaking and found that the 2007 GT3 RS sells for very similiar money to a 2010 GT3.
Which would you choose?

This is a lot like asking if you would rather date Angelina Jolie or Gisele Bundchen, but I would choose the 2010 GT3, personally. Although the 2007 GT3RS is now down to the $100K range, there was not much to differentiate it from the standard GT3 model except appearance and a wider track, whereas I think the 2010 GT3 has made some significant performance evolutions over the earlier models.
YMMV, and you probably can't go wrong with either one.

Well said. BTW, was'nt Angelina dressed hotter that day. Your points are exactly what made me post this. Although I do like the wider body of the RS, the 2010 GT3 is supposed to be hugely upgraded. I need to give this one more thought.
Thanks,

Denson,
You might also consider posting this on Rennlist. There is a dedicated GT3 section and it is huge. You will get a lot of valuable feedback on this question. I owned a 2004 GT3 for a short while and loved it. Any variant is wonderful. Good luck![]()

I was surprised when I saw a 2010 GT3RS w/ a sticker of $138,000! The car was ordered with track use in mind.

Both great cars but I would go with the 2010 GT3. Like what others have said it has many improvements, most notable is redesigned supension that is said to be far better than the 997.
The 997 MK II GT3 and RS is a big improvement over the MK I. The next GT3 and RS will be an improvement over the 2010/2011. That will always be the way. The MkII GT3 is a better car in every way then the MK I RS, but... The RS is an RS and years from now, the RS will be the more desireable car. For someone who has an RS, I would definately go for the RS.

If you decide on the RS, check this out: http://www.gt3rsregistry.com/
It has info on most of the 997 RS's.
If depreciation is not your concern always go with the most recent model.
Like the magazines say, which is the ultimate 911, the most recent iteration. I share that view except perhaps the first year or 2 of each new iteration ~ early teething problems. IE, thermal reactors, 2.7 cases, 3.2 valve guides, 964 ozone and head gasket, 996 main seals, ...

I am leaning towards the 2007 GT3 RS for a few reasons. Firstly, I love the wider fenders, I have a 1973 RS and I do like the idea that it will become more collectible. The orange, with black interior, and with the anodized wheels is crazy.![]()
Thanks everyone for the help.

07/08 GT3 RS is the way to go. MUCH better looking, and unless you're Dario Franchitti, the track improvement is largely irrelevant.
