    Weber 40 IDS Nightmare

We have a 1966 911S that has had 40IDT carbs fitted which seems a pity as he owner said he still has the IDS carbs but bought replacements that were in 'better' condition.

    They turned up today ..........

Butterflies are damaged, no chokes, only 4 auxilliary venturies and in complete kit form.

Anyone know a supplier of butterflies and may be auxillary venturies as I can find most other parts.

I would try Richard at PMO. He will likely have everything or can help find it. Good luck with those!

I've seen a LOT worse. Good thing is the vast majority of IDS parts are the same as other Webers.

I have no problem with the theory that all men are created equal.
But after that moment you are on your own and nobody owes you a damn thing.

    Not that bad

I've seen much worse too. But the missing parts are a problem. Either they will be N/A or very expensive. Best probably to buy a set of assembled carbs and start from there. That's what I'd probably do. Good luck!
