That's what's on my gulf blue 67S....you've seen it, thought it's been a few years ago now. Fenders are rolled, and I'm running 225/50's on the rear. IF you mean the later 7's, nope haven't run them, and wouldn't want to.

    So Eric, you're running 7R wheels ? I was referring to later 7 X 15's. If that right ?

i think its doable with the early 7s, that were on the 67 911R, 68 TR etc. i think those are the only ones with the offset that will work on a swb car.. even then you might have to roll the fenders a bit.

if you go with later 7s, i dont think the offset would work.. at least not unless you flaired. i am not an expert though..

6.5 inch minilights work well though, that i do know

    Curt,

I'm running 7R's on the rear...sorry to not clarify. I'd have to concur that I don't think the later 7's will work, not seen it though, so maybe it would with the right spacers, rolled fenders, camber etc.

    Harry, very interesting.

Are you using the Minilite Sport style wheel as these were made in the Seventies with a width of 6.5".

They are still shown in the Minilite Catalogue but with ET's of 20 to 35.

Do you know the ET or backspace you are using as I would think that to fit a narrow SWB car they would need an offset of about ET43.

This car is a SWB but has shortened LWB trailing arms which give a 10mm increase in track (per side) as the spring plate to hub distance is longer.

It has 69 type flares fitted and the 7" wide ET49 wheels just fit.

If it had standard SWB Trailing arms the wheels would fit an SWB narrow Body.

I am not sure of when exactly that they were made. i know they are 15x6.5 aluminum.

here are some pics i took just after i purchased them, before they were powder coated (when someone had painted them gold..)

not sure if you can tell by any of these details on what you need.

Ill see if i can take a better pic of the info on the side of the wheels after work.

7R fit with no body mods

I run 225/50s on 7R at all four corners of my 67 with spacers, no rolled fenders needed. Tight but they work. The later 7's require body mods

    Minilite Sport

They are the Minilite Sport Wheels which was an Aluminium version first made in the Seventies as the original magnesium wheels were becoming too expensive.

They seem to have a large offset and next time you take one off the car could you measure the backspace please.

I'm curious, since the 7Rs fit with no issues, why then did the factory flare the rear fenders on the 911R ?
