    F/S: Complete '69S motor w/ 7,000 original miles

Type 901/10 engine w/ serial number 6390623. Pulled from a wrecked car with 7,000 miles on the odometer back in 1970 and has been sitting in storage since. During the 2-3 years that I've had stewardship over it I've cleaned and detailed it. Had to switch out the passenger side magnesium intake stack and throttle body due to mice making their home in the air cleaner assembly while it was with the PO. This motor has been run, tested, and checked out as having no issues on our shop stand last year. Comes with the original distributor and coil, but no flywheel. Price is a firm$8,500.00, ready to ship on a wooden pallet. I will deliver to the Forward Air terminal in Orlando, if it helps the buyer out. Please email to: jpnorthwood@aol.com

I'd be interested in the build # on this or any other 2.0 engine you have access to.

I purchased this from Kurt Williams (PJV911) back in '07 (???). I paid something like $6-7K for it in unknown condition as the throttle bodies were frozen and he stated it wouldn't turn over (it has always turned over for me since day one using a wrench at the front crank/pulley nut). In my possession I would turn the motor over by hand every month/2 months, then last year got serious about it's condition as I wanted to make sure it's OK to install in one of my cars and started to take things apart. That's when I discovered the mouse nest in the air cleaner housing ... and right away! The rodent urine had done a quite the job in corroding the stack and throttle body on one side, which I have since replaced. We put the motor on our live engine test stand more than 8 months ago. It ran like a newly built motor in that it was quiet and tight. I do not remember the compression numbers, but was told by my wrench they were excellent. We did not do a leak down, sorry. I will have my guy put it back onto the stand again sometime in the next 7-10 days and get compression numbers and also provide a video of it running (thanks to a new Flip recorder). Not eager to let this one go, but I have decided to build a twin plug motor for my last '69S (came to me without the original engine) and it would be a travesty to alter/open/modify this one of a kind engine. It just needs to go to a good home. No disappointments - If the buyer is not satisfied, I will buy it back.

Well after over 40 years hibernation, this 7,000 original mile motor is up and running again! Amazing! Here are the results:

    Compression numbers: #1 - 172; #2 - 172; #3 - 180; #4 - 175; #5 - 175; #6 - 170

Oil pressure on warm engine at idle: 20 - 25 ; at partial throttle 75+

Oil temperature (taken with infra red gauge) after 45+ minutes run time: 130 degress F

This engine starts immediately and come to even idle. No smoke. No valve train noises. I had to replace the throttle bodies as detailed previously and they are not as fresh as everything else on this motor - Their operation is excellent, but you can hear a slight vibration coming from the shaft bushings ( if you know what to listen for ).

VIDEO: We ran this thing w/o any exhaust, so the motor is loud. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TFZ0UhJieI
