    1962 Porsche 356 Outlaw Project - $6000 (Gloversville, NY)

Here we have the chance to finish this exciting outlaw project the way you like! This is a race inspired 1962 Porsche 356B project that was well on its way to becoming a cool outlaw. A lot of thought was put into the custom look of this car -- aluminum Gmund SL louvered rear quarter window inserts, Spyder style side mirror, Speedster seats (reproduction). More race elements include wide rear wheels and a lowered stance. Previous owner deleted the rubber bumper trim for a Carrera style bumper look.

Included is engine KD702011, a '62 Super with a factory replacement case. The engine turns over by hand but has not been fired. The body and metal work on this car was performed with function in mind over form. Please see the pics of the flat steel floors, etc. There is also fiberglass in the battery box, and there may be other spots where a non-factory repair was made. There are a few areas that will still need attention (see pics for example). The good news is that these floors are strong enough to stop an IED and will probably outlive the car! The owner planned to make the car very basic, so there were a lot of pieces lost in the mix. If you don't see a piece of trim, knob, etc. in the photos it is probably not here. We have a clear Arkansas title for this car.

I have a whole big zip file of pics, send me a message and I can get them out to you.

This car may never be on the grass in the concour corral, but once finished can be a mean looking, solid, eye-catching 356 outlaw. Don't be lost in the crowd.

Hey Unobtanium, I was wondering if this opportunity was still there... Pretty old post... But if the Porsche is still available I might be interested in purchasing it. As long as it's not a kit car...
