As far as I'm aware, the last year they were fitted to Coupes was the 1968 MY - from the introduction of the lwb models in Aug '68 the Coupe got fixed front quarterlights.

For Targa models they continued with opening front quarterlights until ~ 1976

Are you asking the opening vent windows in the doors, which were standard through the '68 MY. or are you referring to the rear quarter windows, above the rear wheel arch ?

No, they were std fitment on Targas up to '76.

However, the Targa version of the door window frame is different as there is no top (horizontal) section above the (sliding) window glass.

Does everyone know the story about the demise of the doors opening wing 1/4 windows.

LeMans 1968, the factory press cars all went missing on the same night. They were recovered, parts had been stripped. All cars were coupes and had the 1/4 window damaged, it was the point of entry.

Within weeks, the new cars had fixed windows.

    (As the story goes).

If the cars had been taken by quality U.S.A. thieves they wouldn't have gotten anything back!!
