1965 Sill/Jacking Point Detail Photo Needed

    Hi All,

Can someone show me a detail photo of the left and right jacking point of their 65MY car please? Must be original, factory fresh (or rusty), un-tampered with please!

    Many thanks
    David

    David,

This is a '66 MY, not 65. . . but this is the most rust free example ever posted, you can even see the old factory MIG wire where they cut it off!

That is a great shot. Can you show me a pic looking into the jack receiver square hole thingy. I'm led to believe there is a wind deflector?

There is nothing apparent in the jack tube but the open end to the kidney bowl is quite common

    Do you mean this?

Chris, that is a VW hub cap puller.
(ignore my reply if you were pulling David his leg).

Richard, here is an example of a VW hub cap puller, one of only two styles I know of; the other is similar but a bigger loop for fatter fingers. The one above looks more like a spring, so I suggest it does go with the cap it is in.

Ha ha, no not jacking point covers or hub cap pullers

I'd like to see the exact same photo but from a horizontal prospective. I'd like to see how the sill and jacking point intersect from the side.

    Thanks so far though.
