Engine sticker details from a 1973 car, inc RS- anyone help?

    Hi,

I am trying to determine the sticker or stickers which go to the left of engine lid catch for a 1973 car, including the RS. Any help must be based on original stickers in situ please.

On this 73 car the sticker is the tire size, veh w/lbs "620" and tire pressure 26/29.

    Any one have others?

Also any “truly” original RS sticker pics, I thought RS used the "tire pressure" sticker like this (see below), but with the higher tire pressures 29/34. These are different than the 72 and earlier stickers as these are larger and fit in the larger sticker hole next to the catch. Also with regards to the RS the tire pressure changed I think in May 1973, to what? And did it have a new sticker?

Any help is much appreciated. We are trying to make full and correct sets of proper metal stickers for all pre 73 911s.

Thanks for all and any help with this.

    After more research:

It seems based on some great info (thanks again). If I may use Guru's text from another forum

" For early RST the recommendation was 2.0 and 2.0. There may have been a sticker made with 2.0 and 2.0, he has not yet seen one. "

There was a 2.0 and 2.0 sticker used on the pre May 7th RST but most cars I have seen used the 1.8/2.0 version. Also the 1.8/2.0 version is a 73 only sticker, the 72 used a smaller tire pressure sticker, that fitted into the area left blank on a 73.

"For RS produced after May 7, 1973 the recommendation was changed to 2.0 and 2.4" This is the same stickers as found on 73 T E and S but some T E and S models continued to use the 1.8 2.0 version.

"For RSL the recommendation was 2.2 and 2.4. Here there was most likely no special sticker, so either 1.8 and 2.0 or 2.0 and 2.0"

It may be possible a 2.2 and 2.4 sticker was used. I have seen only 2 examples, but on both (both original cars) they used the 2.2 /2.4 from the 72 model. See below. The gap above the stickers shows it to be in the correct place for 73 RSL but the smaller sticker. Other RSL, (again only seen 2) used the 2.0/2.4 version.

We about to go to print for our sticker range so any more help and advice is appreciated.

    Thanks

    Alan
