    How to separate the vent window handle?

    I need to have my vent windows re chromed and need to know how to get the handle/latch off. Any assistance much appreciated. TIA-Bill

    My 68 has a small roll pin at the base of the handle.

    Don't know why we have two almost identical threads going, but as Alan.uk stated in the other thread on essentially the same subject , tap them out with a punch ( as long as it's not a pointed center punch ) which will fit into the roll-pin hole, but not fit inside the hole in the roll-pin. DO NOT DRILL the pins out , because you'll need them for re-assembly, & if you drill them, you'll be back soon asking for help finding some roll pins.

    Soak with penetrating oil for a few minutes before tapping them out.
