BOOK : Porsche Kremer Racing , a photographic history 1966-1981

I presume all of you know the Kremer brothers who raced intensively with Porsches during the 60s and 70s. The german brothers Erwin and Manfred started preparing their own cars too, and I'm sure you heard about them.. the famous Porsches 935 K1, K2, K3 and K4.

Recently a german publisher printed a limited edition book (only 1000 copies) about these guys, cars and their racing team. Porsche Kremer Racing, a photographic history 1966 - 1981

I wrote a small review and published it on the Liebe zu Ihm website. It's definetely a nice book in your Porsche library

    I ordered mine last Monday:
    http://www.toadhallbook.com/book.cfm?GI=2&CI=10

Along with a new book about Jo Siffert and one on the 906.

I'll post a 'review' after Christmas.

It is really a great book as most of the other 'Petrolpics' products. Michael Thier and Robert Weber are doing a great job with this recently established publishing house. Michael is also a regular participant in hill climbs and trackdays here in Germany in his very nice Kremer built light-ivory 2.5ST (and a very kind guy too).

Check also their prototype compendium: http://www.motorsport-verlag.de/prod...64---1974.html

    Best,
    Christian

    Grady & Friends:

The Kremer book is not yet on my web site, but copies are in the air, probably somewhere over the North Atlantic about now. As soon as they arrive, they will go on the Toad Hall Motorbooks web site with a complete description and details. The edition is limited to 1,000 copies, the text is in English, the book is hardbound and comes in a slipcase, and the price is expected to be about $175 plus $4.95 US shipping. If any of you would like to reserve a copy, just call me at 303/237-0911 (Mountain Time). Can't guarantee Christmas delivery at this point, but this book seems to be worth waiting for. The 906 book (by Juergen Barth) and Jo Siffert books that Grady mentioned are now here and on the site--and highly recommended! in the 1960s, Siffert was my hero, and this is a great read!

If you order from Petrolpics in Germany it cost 129 Euros plus 30 euros DHL freight or about $212.00 US.

I've bought the book as well. The photos are great but don't expect anything technical or VIN-nish. Kind of a missed opportunity IMHO!

    Friends:

The books are now in stock here at Toad Hall Motorbooks in Colorado: list is $189.95, but the Early S special price is $179.95. US shipping (media mail) is $4.95; MC/Visa accepted. See www.toadhallbook.com or call me at 303/237-0911. Quantities are very limited.
