    Cool Don't Speed on Snow

They take their snow very seriously in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and they will hunt you down A good friend of mine rides the white one ... it's good to be the Sheriff.

    Hi Curt !

Dear God !! Not that you'd want to get run over by either, but in the heat of battle of a get-away.... Look at the spikes on the tread of the red beast !!!

Who builds those things, Lamborghini ??? They look pretty Terminator-esque...

With that narrow belt, I can imagine a whole buncha lean into a turn...just like a road bike. Looks like big fun. Are they hiring?

I don't know much about sleds but they're both Ski Doo. The white one is 800cc and has around 155HP and weighs 450Lbs - now that's a power to weight ratio! The red one is a 1200cc.

So I was over at a guy's shop tonight doing some work on one of my quattros and he had a snow machine under a tarp. It is an Arctic Cat SnoPro Z1 Turbo. 1100cc 4-cycle turbo with 180HP (and he can make some electronic adjustments to bump it over 200HP)! On pavement it runs 8 second / 138MPH 1/4 mile times The biggest problem he said was simply getting the power down to the ice/snow .... check out the studs.

We don't need no steeenking brakes, gringo.

I sent the info on this sled along to my buddy the Sheriff (I really take those new patriotic signs at Walmart seriously: IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING) since this guy rides up in that area frequently. He was not overly impressed with the performance. Said his radio was still a tad bit faster
