... this was 1969 and it had a big impact on me. I can still remember it vividly. Most memorable was the sound John Bonham was able to get out of his drums. No one has come close before or since.

Funny you should post this Mark.....
At work last week we were listening to some classis rock and the Moody Blues came on and I mentioned that I saw them at the L.A. Forum in '70, to that the very young designer we're working with said.... "Oh my, 1970, my mother was four years old"..... to that I asked if he had any pictures of her..........
Though not my first concert........ it was pretty damn good..........
Rock On bud,
Chuck

Beatles - Hollywood Bowl 1964.....My mother made my older bro take me. I was 9...The opening band was The Rightous Bros. Their hit song at the time was CoCo joe.
DJ Dave Hull- The Hulabolooer( KRLA) was the MC. For those that know this venue, there was a reflecting Pond right in front of the stage. The were chicks diving in the Pond the entire night....there was so much screaming you could NOT hear anything.

Great stuff guys. Not a first but another really memorable show was seeing Derek and the Dominoes, December 2, 1970, also in Syracuse WITH all the original members... Duane Allmond, Eric Clapton and the rest. THAT was great... Elton John was the warm up band before anyone ever really heard of him (was never a big fan of his but it was a good concert.)
