    trunk repair,had to share

Just had to share this with the group. PO had made some rather large holes in the trunk in order to route some ventilation hoses when the car was used on the track. I had a spare gas tank ( I damaged it while trying to remove a dent with compresssed air) and thought the ribs on the bottom might match up with the ribs in the trunk. I still need to do a little fine tuning before I weld it up but I think it should look pretty darn good when done.

Man, those were some mean looking holes! Looks like you're on your way to a decent repair. Let's see the rest of the car!!

What went wrong pressurizing the gas tank? I've done this a few times, and I guess that I'd like to know what can go wrong.

I was so busy watching the progess of the fix on the bottom with the dent that I didnt see that the top of the tank was distorting.
