    Help with Valuation

    Hello!

I'm about to take the plunge and buy my first long hood! I have two 993s right now and love the air cooled cars.

Found a 1970 911E and I'm about to pull the trigger. I'm curious what the experts will estimate the fair market value of this car for curiosity..

    Numbers matching car
    Full history back to 1970
    54K original miles
    Irish Green on Black
Owner says car has S brakes from the factory
Car has a bad dent on the passenger door and various dings
    95% original paint
    Very strong runner

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. At this point, I'm in love with the car and am going to buy it.. just curious if I'm making a great decision with my heart, and a horrible decision with my brain...

Hope I can post pics with my newbie status...

Nice find, especially one with low miles and fully documented. Can't restore that.. Should be a very fun addition to your modern 911s.

How is the body condition besides the dents? Any rust anywhere?

The PO apparently tested it well, w/ the twisted speedo ;-)
(BTW usually it's the tacho that is twisted but apparently he was more interested in speed than revs).

Thanks for the comments so far.

Car does not have any rust. It has been in TX most of its life, generally under cover.

There are about 10 door dings, and one decent sized dent in the passenger door.

The PO had the speedo slight turned because he could not see it with the smaller "Dino" steering wheel he installed in lieu of the stock wheel. He still has the stock wheel which is in great shape, and I'm likely to put that back on.

210hp - what is a "rear slam panel"?

    Mr Woolfgang

Rear slam panel is behind the engine with the row of stickers on it. The photos I have are poor and I am not convinced but it looks like a replacement. I would need a better pic to be sure.

eBay ad says he wants 35.5 minimum.
