It seems I've got this theme going now of naming my threads with song lyrics. For this one though I just couldn't help it. I got a call from Don Ahearn (Rennman) yesterday that the car carrier that was taking his Prototype car to California would be showing up this morning after having just picked up the new Porsche 918 from the Saratoga Museum. Never one to miss a chance to see this new hybrid wonder, I rushed over there this morning to snap a few pics. Unfortunately, there wasn't much to see...



It seems they cover the car against snooping eyes (and lenses). It did give me another chance though to photograph Don's recently ground-up restored 1966 911 Factory Prototype. The car is on it's way to Rennsport Reunion, but here's a sneak peek.















Don's got permission to take the car on the track, so anyone going should get to hear it in full howl.
