I'll start this new thread by posting some videos of the recent Rennsport Reunion IV held Oct 14-16, 2011 at Laguna Seca (Mazda Raceway).
More good stuff continues to pop-up on YouTube of this great event so keep them coming!
This first clip is a short 20-minute preview of over eight-hours of raw HD video footage I shot during the event.
I'm also working on producing a three or four DVD-set using the higher quality HD footage I have. Many digital photos will be included as well.
The video is simply stunning to watch on a large television screen while the audio makes you feel you're actually reliving the event!
Once the DVD's are available, a will post a notification here 914-6 GT's Photo Galleries at pbase.com

BTW, I also have over 15+ more hours of high-end HD video I personally shot using a Steadicam Merlin Arm and Vest
of the previous two Rennsport Reunions (II and III). Eventually, I will produce and release those DVD's as well.
Really fun to watch after all these years. At the time, all I did for four straight days was video the event,
didn't find much time to shake hands with all that was going on, unfortunately...
For more details of the Merlin Arm and Vest, see here http://www.steadicam.com/userimages/...green_2010.pdf
Porsche Rennsport Reunion IV 2011 - QUALIFYING Group 4 - Car #61
This is an excellent video with at least four on-board cameras in the RSR, maybe more. This video started 'clear as a bell',
but the early morning fog and moisture in the air did make the rest of the video a bit fuzzy. I still like that effect.

Check out these video camera transitions at the following time-lines;
4:47, and starting at 5:45 you'll see an exciting rear-camera view of a pack of RSR's heading for the corkscrew. A bit later, at around 6:35, you'll see Bruce in his White 935 making his "C-Ya!" pass by no less than three of the RSR's. Fantastic rear-video imaginary you couldn't nornally get with only one camera onboard, as we know, it's not always what's in front that's exciting. More at 8:00, 8:24, 10:59 and 12:10... Imagine it all on a clear sunny day

PAY ATTENTION... and you might get some good ideas...
To see the video camera set-up on this particular 911 RSR, go to my video at the top of this post and advance the time-line to 5:20.
Note the #61 RSR as it approaches, now look at the two roof-mounted forward/rear cameras, as well as a left/rear fender quarter panel mounted camera (there is another on the opposite side). I am not aware of any other car at the event that was equipped this well with video recording gear. Ideally, this is how I would want to set up the video cameras on my own car. This complexity does create a bit more work when video-editing, but the results are a whole lot more captivating!
