    gotta ask as I just bought a pair of black ones on Stoddard. Is there a difference?

    If they are the "Stirtone" brand then they are the correct model for the post Jan-73 build dates, just not the right color. If I'm not mistaken, the black trumpet horns were a 964 item. Probably used on other cars as well. OT, but if anyone is looking for a set of black horns, I have a nice pair I'd be willing to part with.

    I'm pretty sure that the black horns came in somewhere during the 911SCs. Early ones had red horns, later ones black. The black horns continued into the Carrera 3.2s.
