Can I repair/replace fender bracket mount on battery box?

What started as a simple "as long as I'm in here..." has had the usual results. I tried to remove the driver side fender mount bracket that mounts to the side of the battery box. It's the on that supports the headlight bucket. I don't think the bolts had been moved in 39 years and they were effectively welded on. After I broke off both bolt heads and got the U-bracket off, the piece welded to the battery box is pretty badly rusted. See the photo below. Is this available or must I replace the whole battery box? It would seem pretty straightforward to grind off the old one and weld on a new one. See the item circled below

    Any help appreciated!

Since Restoration Design makes battery boxes maybe they would sell you just the bracket. However you should be able to fabricate one yourself, its just sheet metal with a couple bends and captive nuts welded in. I sure wouldn't want to disturb the entire box just for that.
