    True-ing Wheels

Just bought 5 date matched steel wheels 4.5 x 15 3/64 for my 356. 3 of the wheels are in great condition, two need to be trued. Can you guys recommend someone that can true wheels? I am located in Bend, OR but will be in San Diego for most of August, so I can either get them fixed up here, or drop them off in Southern CA as we drive down in early August.

They are currently chromed, but will need to be de-chromed and painted. Should I have them de-chromed before they are made true or afterwards?

    Thanks

Ask if they can true a steel wheel.
    If not, PM me.
I would have them trued before dechroming so you won't waste money dechroming on a non repairable wheel.
You can have steel wheels dechromed at most plating shops.
    Rechroming is another story.
