    304733 is a VIN for May / June 66.

903 is the first three digits of the engine serial number. Jan '66 is somewhere in that serie. May / June is 9077XX or 9078XX

    could vin # 304733 be a match for eng.# 907941 in the yr 1966?

Yes, # 907941 corresponds to 901/5 engine used in 66 after March with Weber carbs. You can call Porsche USA, Certificate of Authenticity Dept, and they'll give you the exact match without buying the CoA.

    thank you,
There is a thread on this board re. RS deluxe. That is a term that is written on the kardex.

Does your car have an angled 911 script or the later MY67 script on the rear lid?

My 66 911 303986 original color Golfblau 6603 was manufactured 29 March 1966 and customer delivery was 6 July 1966, four months later I was told it was used at Weissach for a taxi?

just picked the up the 911... i had never seen it before this am.
this car will need restoration. has been sitting in a garage for 31 yrs. the interior is not bad, but the body has rust and will need pans and total bare metal repaint. it's all there, angled 911 script, eng. turns, rear window vent tubes (have never seen those) wood dash and wood steering wheel, just needs lots of love...more than i can do, so i'll probably pass it on.
the color is polo red ... code 6602
ordering a coa nxt wk i believe it to be a matching #'s 66 911...
    thanks all.....gdj911@insightbb.com
