Hello all, I am looking to take on a couple projects here and there with my '69T and wanted to get feedback from the board on some of my questions....and yes, I have used the search function!!

I have the original engine decals that came with the car....they were removed before a repaint in the 90's and are loose now but I wanted to reapply them...however there is no adhesive on the back. Any thoughts on how best to affix them to their proper places?

Whenever I shift gears, the tach swings for a few seconds before "settling" onto the correct RPM and then proceeding higher or lower. When I am not shifting, it is in a smooth up or down swing....there are no issues with throttle response or misfiring during the swinging...the car had an MSD ignition installed a couple years ago, but the swinging has occured both before and after this...I replaced the spark plugs a month ago, still no difference. I have seen some suggest that "the points be cleaned" but I am not entirely sure what this entails. Might it simply need a new/rebuilt tach?

Lastly, when I am running the car, cold or hot, and come to a quick or reasonably quick stop, the idle will drop down below 1,000 and feel like its almost going to stall out. If the engine is hot and I coast to a stop or gently slow down, it will usually idle around 1,100 or so...but anytime I have to apply the brakes more than gently when coming to a complete stop, it almost acts like it wants to peter out....I just put in NGK BP7ES plugs (wanted to put in 6Es but were unavailable when I was part shopping)....any thoughts on how to remedy this?

I appreciate the help guys.
Tim
