Question Photos of 911 with 356 side mirror

    Hello folks!

Looking for ideas for the RS project...

I ordered a side mirror from TRE... the 1974-75 styled mirror. But looking around I have seen a few more options... so I am a bit undecided...

Has anyone here used a 356 mirror on a 911? Specifically this one:

Since I will not have the fender fuel filler (going with through the hood fuel fill)... wondering how this will look on the car...

Anyone with photos of this mirror installed in their 911??

Link to my build on Pelican: SC to something like an RS

We sell the same mirror for 356As. It is a reproduction and not of high quality. You can't see much out of the thing, either. It, also, is very limited in it's adjustment. I'm sure that are a few 356 owners on this forum that will concur.

    Jim,

So you are recommending I stick with my first option. Thank you. I know looking cool seldom goes with working well, lol.

My 71 911T Rgruppe car has a 74/75 mirror on it. I will have to recuse myself from offering an opinion. As you might guess, I'm a bit biased.

    Regards

I found one for 40.00... what the heck. I just want to see what the car would look like. Saw it on a 356 and on a Karmann Ghia and it looked so cool. Not drilling any holes, will only present it to see what it would look like. At the end I still think the 75-styled mirror is the one I will install.

My old 912 Speedster used them:

Along with a few other 356 bits...
