    dash trim help needed

I have a '70 911t Targa and I'm in the process of "refreshing" the interior. It is pretty much original and
in need of some love. I'm goning to redo the dashboard trim piece that runs along the front of the dash.
My car has the wood venee glued to the aluminum base piece. I'm planning on removing the aluminum
pieces (four of them if I recal) then remove and replace the wood veneer.

So, I was able to remove the two pieces on the far right. The small trim piece to the right of the glove compartment
and the piece glued to the glove compartment. These came off by gently prying them away from the dash.

I took the buttons off the radio and the chrome framing came off easily as well,...but I can't figure out how to
get the heater control framing off. Or does the framing of the heater controls come off?

Also, I know the ignition switch is simply screwed on, so I got that off, but not sure how the emergency
blinker switch is attached, or the headlight pull knob? How do I get those off so I can remove the aluminum
    trim?

THANKS!!! for your help. This forum has been a world of info. for me,...but I couldn't find any specifics on
    this specific thing.

The chrome color trim ring around the heater control comes off. It takes time to work it off and it might bend a little but you can bend it back. There are 4 tabs total that hold it on. About one inch in on the top and bottom corners. You need to remove it before you take off the aluminum dash trim.

Head light switch is removed by undoing the knob, then the bezel at the base, and pulled from the back.

The 70 flasher is a little bit harder, not sure as I have a 69 which is different, do a search, I read something recently.

Dental floss is great for getting the trim off without bending it, just work it off from one end.

70 should have basket weave vinyl, rather than wood?
