It has wind wings, so that makes it a 1968. Chris

OK-- Black gauges , no flares, has wind wings, wider horn grilles-- it can only be a 1968. Chris

The video says the car is owned by a museum - didn't catch the name.

I saw this clip on the weekly Auto Motor & Sport show on Deutsche Welle tv several months ago.
The '68 S is from the VW museum Autoworld hence the WOB trade plates.
The show has a five minute classic car segment at the end and a number of interesting cars from Autoworld have been featured.
The reviewer has my envy in this particular clip, driving the S as it should be driven - quickly on empty alpine roads !!
I believe this is the link -

    Cheers,
    Dennis.

1970 914-6 - materialised from the 'Lotto' garage into reality
    1971 2.2 911 S - now back in the UK - sob!
1975 Carrera Targa (ROW) - missed.
