Hi
Feeling a bit odd asking, but can anyone explain how to tune/select stations in FM mode for a Blaupunkt Frankfurt in 73 911?
A manual would be great, but basic instructions would be appreciated.

If I recall correctly, since I made the mistake of tossing mine years ago. You first tune manually with the knob, then you pull one of the FM buttons out to the stop and then push it all the way back in.

Thanks David
Tuning the right knob adjusts the am band, do you recall if one needs to pull the knowb out to adjust FM?
Charles
I think the knob tunes both bands. Either one of the chrome knobs selects the band, or pushing one of the fm buttons first then do the above process, sorry it;s been a long time.

Just push one of the FM preset buttons to switch bands. Once in FM mode the right knob will tune the selected band.
Good luck!

I have the same radio. When I bought it some of the selector buttons were stuck in position and would not reset to a new station. I took the top off and persuaded the stck one to let go (simple friction clamp) and lubed the mechanism a little. Just FYI if you encounter this.

I tried all 3 FM buttons - press then tune, and only the AM band is changing.
If I hold the FM preset and tune neither FM or AM bands change.
Perhaps something amiss w/ radio?

Do this:
1. Push any of the five button to select the band you want AM or FM
2. Tune in the station you want with the right black knob
3. Decide what preset you want to save that station to and then PULL out that button and then push in.
4. Repeat procedure for remainder of knobs.
This radio has great value to owners of early cars. Don't get rid of it. If it needs cleaning or repairs - the best guy for these is

Thanks to all for the info!
It looks like I'll have to send it out to have FM worked on.
