I have a 1969 911 E, we are in process of mounting it on to the engine. My question is this, what is the part number of the mounting plate that is attached to the engine. And do I have to use one specifically for a 1969?

No it is the bracket that goes underneath the pump part 901 110 027 00
Also I think that it needs the spacer 901 110 236 00 between the plate and case, if I remember right...
Ed will know for sure.

And make sure the parts are in the correct order, or your engine will appear to be in correctly, but in actuality be 1/2" or more higher into the compartment ... trust me...
Eli, I guess I'm just being dense, what is it you trying to mount, I can't tell from your description! Obviously Vic and Harvey understood it though!!!

There is a mounting plate that is put on the engine block along with a spacer then the MFI bolts to the bracket. I think the way the bracket is designed it also for a way to tension the mfi belt.
Ahhhhh! now I understand,,,,All the MFI pump mounts are the same. The belt adjustment is done by moving the pump on the mount studs. The pump itself has slotted holes that allows for movement on the mount studs. Be sure to rotate the engine several turns after tensioning the belt to make sure the MFI belt isn't trying to walk off the pump pulley, if it does you'll need to apply a slight yaw to the pump by making the pulley end move more than the front end. Do NOT get the MFI belt too tight, you should be able to twist it 90 degrees in the middle of the belt between the two pulleys.

Cool, I'm not doing it myself but I do want to understand the process of how it is done. I figured that all the mounting brackets for the mfi's are all the same. Right now that is the only part holding up the instal of my new mfi pump. That and the guy redoing my seats came down with the flu, oh and he sounds terrible, this flu season is bad.
