I see the PET files for 356s and 911s from 1970 until end of the line (http://www.porsche.com/usa/accessori...artscatalogue/) but not for the 64 through 69 911s. Where do I go to get access for these early 911 PET files?

Good question. The Porsche Classic Price list includes parts that go back to at least 1960, but I've not seen a comprehensive list like the later early cars. On the other hand, I have the actual hinged metal binder PET listings, and that's what I use, as the pdf is not always accurate.

Paul,
On the dropdown you have to select the 911/912 category and then you will see the PET you are looking for.

Paul,
I have PET 6 on a DVD which will load and run without problem.
It has all of the 911 data from 1965 to 1969 data and all the 356 data for 1950.
I think that the CD Porsche sell has the same data but is less 'interactive' than the version I use.
The one I have lets you click on a part number from a list and then highlights the item on the exploded view or if you click on the item number on the exploded view it jumps to the correct place in the description.
Double clicking the part number shows and updates.
it also has 964, 993 , Boxter etc. but cuts off at 2004 but as these are all 'water cars' it doesn't matter.
There is only one issue.
It has to be used on a srceen with a rsolution of 1280 x 1024 or the poerating buttons fall off the bottom of the screen and it becomes useless.
It works well on my Lenovo Desk top and on my old Vaio Laptop but the new generation lap Tops just don't have the screen capability.
I can let you have a copy with all of the installation details.
The CD that Porsche sell has the same data and will run on a lap top but you can only scroll through the data page by page.
I must say I would prefer an early paper copy as even PET6 has some updates to early part numbers which is frustrating for time to time.

Well, Nick you are right!
My Apple laptop didn't allow me access to the early 911s but my PC does!
However I can see only info for 1969 year model.
I must lack the skill set required for this task!
Go figure!

Paul,
Even though the catalog says 1969 that one catalog covers '65-'69. The key is to read the comments in the Remarks section to see what year(s) that particular part covers. For example Illustration 107-06 covers Solex Carbs up through '68 as stated in the Remarks section.

Spot on Nick. Still, nothing beats the period parts manuals for detail!
