    1967 911S Syncros

I'm buying a beautifully restored 67 Targa (slightly older restoration) and want to know if it is possible a syncro could go bad in a car that was just sitting for several years? Any input would be appreceiated!

If its not being used it shouldn't wear out, right?

Maybe someone careless/clueless took it for a test drive?
