I have read on the bird how to take the faces of the gauges, I just need some more info on what I should clean the numbers and lines on the gauges with.

    Thanks

    Hi!

Maybe an idiot question, but, have you simply tried to clean the gauge's glasses?
I have taken appart several tachos and speedos, and, IMHO they seemed like well sealed.

Getting enough smoke inside to yellowish them would really surprise me! If it"s really the face which is yellow, wouldn't it be sun fadding? in this case, no solution I'm aware of.

If it's actually smoke, I would try warm water with a little drop of dish soap, and gently rub it with a cotton cloth.

HI - i did all my dials and cleaner the glass inside and out with an anti-static cleaner used for cleaning computer monitor screens, and like previous cleaned the dial faces with barely warm warm with very little detergent - use micro fiber cloths and cotton buds - be very very careful with the needles and they are so easy to bend one bent they don't straighten again - and they can be very tricky to get off! Best to clan with needle in place but be careful.

I think might be sun fading.
