But that is a trumpet and the ad was for a banjo if its the same one I saw. I think these horns were made in France and the company starts with an "M". The one that I had a few years ago was from a 928.

Given how many people are looking for these, the price often reflects the demand. I've seen working singles sell for as much as $100. That eBay sale was a great deal.
