    Speedometer Shaft Seal Replacement

Does anyone have experience replacing the speedometer shaft seal in the brass housing attached to the transmisson? It appears that there is a pressed in washer over the top of the seal preventing me from removing the old seal. Any help would be appreciated.

You have to pry out the ring and then the seal. I use a hook type seal remover and get into the seal without touching the threads and knock / pry out the ring, then the seal. It has to be small enough to get in there without touching the threads. They come out. gled
