I just got back my window frames and some chrome work from King of trim and I am very satisfied. The bright tipped anodized window frames look new.

The price was reasonable for the amount of disassembly and re assembly required. The metal parts cannot go in the anodize so they need to be taken apart and re rivitted. I put that part in the photo to demonstrate that point. They also had to do some polishing of the frames to get them smooth again prior to the final finish in the anodize. The hinges for the rear windows are a good example because they are in several parts that need roll pins etc, and are a PIA to do well. Those were pitted and not very pretty to start with.
I'm in need of this as well. Would you mind breaking down the cost by part. I'd like to start sending out parts this year to get redone and would like to know the "pain."
Also, how long did it take?

He did a great job on all the parts I sent in a few months ago. Best I've seen.

I had several sets of early 356 aluminium guards done by them about 4-5 years back. I was surprised by the quality and price at that time. Both in a positive way. For chrome I use Christensen plating. They are not cheap but as good as it gets.
I’ve not used Marcos (King of Trim) for any of the needed Porsche work (yet) but I have used him for my ’67 Malibu restoration. 19 pieces of original Chevy brightwork came back PERFECT…. When the time comes to redo my Porsche stuff that’s where it will go….![]()
