That's not a 1968 decklid. It's more like a 1965-1966 grill ....just FYI

Hi Curt,
Thx for the input. I'm by far NOT the deck lid expert. I talked to Bob T about it and seems there was two 68 deck lids. Maybe this one is an early one. So, I stand corrected. One thing for sure, super nice early deck lid!
Best, Jim

I believe early MY 68s had the same deck lid as the 66/67. The deck lid changed somewhere around Jan 68 as did the grill.
Mike,
Thanks for catching that...there is no grill. 1968, what a year for confusion. The thing I remember the most about 1968 was how rock solid a 67 VW was and what POS a 68 VW was. ATT in the 70's the only Porsche I knew much about was the 54-58 Speedsters. Jim

This NOT a 1965-66 deck lid. If you know anything about those specific ones, it would have a 3 holes in the lower right at an angle for the 911 script. This is not a 67 deck lid because the center brace has a large factory hole. I acquired this deck lid as a 68 and believe it to be an early 68 deck lid.
