Thread: Which bra?

  1. #1

    Which bra?

Which Colgan bra is the best for an SWB 911?

I am driving to Parade and would like to give the paint a fighting chance.

Thanks in advance for any advice/experience.

lurking here waiting for an answer cause i'm wondering the same thing.
might end up just using this old thang that came with the car.
    it's ugly but serviceable.

I want to try a Colgan 1pc if I can find one. I have the 2-pc now and it works well but is a PITA because it requires readjusting the hood latch. I have to raise the latch 5mm with the bra installed. Once on though it fits nicely and hasn't caused any issues. I guess the 1pc will be a pita if you want to get into the trunk... but it looks like its an easier on/off.

I've used the one piece type as shown for almost 30 years now. I like them because they are easy on and off. I only use it for highway usage. I do not believe the bra should "live" on the car. I have not had any flapping problems up to 100 (don't know beyond that) I use soft 'diaper' type material between the bra and fender tops.

John,,,you really gonna drive it to Parade??? I'm impressed!!! See ya in the 'prep' area

Ed-- thanks for the guidance. I would only put this on for the transits with microfiber in between.

Thinking about it. . . I have to drive it. It's a PORSCHE. And it's only 800 miles.

My new parade motto: Show, don't show off. Not really sporting to have the car arrive in a 40 foot truck now is it?

Mike-- I ordered a Colgan today. Shipping next month? Have to check on that.

Ideally it should lift and separate.

braless is better. From my experience, back in the day, they tend to chafe.

Braless is OK, as long as your front tires are properly inflated.
