HELLAS HAVE BEEN SOLD!! PLEASE BUY THE CIBIE LENS!
Howdy all,
These lights came in a box of spares when I bought my 74, but I believe they were more common on longhoods. I believe they were mounted to the car but were taken off at some point because of a cracked lens. When I found them, I had planned to replace the cracked lens and bolt them back on, but in my searching it appears that the lenses are NLA and $$$ if you can find them used. So I'm going to put them up in hopes that someone can use them.
One side has a clean lens, but the inner bucket is not in good condition and I think the inner reflector has broken loose. The other one appears to have a good inner bucket but the lens is cracked. The body of the lights on both as well as the mount rings that hold the lenses are in good condition. The mounting rings both have one stub broken off but the other three are solid in both cases. Basically, if you need one good light, you could build it from these two and have some spares left over just in case.
The lenses are marked 7-101-169. The inside of the light bodies have hella stickers on them but they have faded and I can't make them out. I have taken lots of pictures of them including disassembled and will be happy to forward on to anyone that is interested. They are center-rear mounted.
I also have one lens that appears to be a headlight lens. The only reference I was able to find online was someone with a 72 911T looking for the same lens a number of years ago. It is 7" in diameter, and has the following markings on it:
Cibie H4 IODE E4 5R7 E4 5R20
If you are interested or know what this lens goes to, please let me know... I'm definitely curious about it.
I would like to get $225 for the pair of Hellas. I don't know what the headlight lens is worth but since I have to post a price, lets start at $75 -- so please make an offer on that. Contact via email is preferred: Steve (at) Swiger (dot) com. PayPal is preferred and shipping charges will be actual...
Thanks for looking (and any additional info you might have on either of these items!
