    FS: 911 S -72 Targa Sportomatic

I'm selling one of my 911s.

This is a matching numbers 911 S Targa Sportomatic in Royal Purple. VIN 9112310591, Engine 6329101, Gearbox (925) 620486

As far as I know, the car is complete, have done 117422 km between 1972 and 1979, all of it in Nordhorn, Germany. It carries a Swedish registration, but the road clearance have never been completed, meaning that it has never seen a Swedish road even though it has been in the country since 1979. Instead it has been standing around in warm garages and from time to time been worked on by different owners until now.

It has (probably in Sweden in the 80s) been painted white and then (in the 90s) purple again. The paint job is a disaster (to me...) even if it looks fine from some range. For an original restoration it have to be redone and is then a very good basis, for a daily driver it might be acceptable. For the body, there is a newly restored Targa roof, most of the chrome is new or in very good condition and most rubber items are new, either on the car or on the side.

The engine on the other hand is restored to factory-new condition using all the right parts, surface treatments etc. The job was done by one of Swedens premier engine builders two years ago.

The gearbox is as it came out of the car, it feels good but I would not run it unless it was opened, checked and serviced.

Since the car has been standing around indoors for a long time, there is no known rust, it has never been modified, it carries the original Fuchs wheels and the interior is in a very good condition except the steering wheel that would need some attention.

There are many more pictures of the details that can be sent.

A discussion about the price would start at 435.000 SEK or EURO 50.000 but depending on the buyer, the price can be changed by a fair amount.

Plus --- this combination Euro 'S,' Targa, Sporto . . . how many could there be?

Any VIN, engine#, or trans# data to post?

    50k = $67.6 = £41.9

Good luck with your sale . . . and thank you for posting here

Updated the add with numbers for you.

When I got the car I checked the numbers of the combo and it was something like 20 cars made like this in '72+'73.

There is always someone who dares to be different and not have a silver, black, orange or blue car...

    Hi Phil,

Good to see that tech 9 is still running. We had some contact a few years back when I was race engineering Rickard Rydell in WTCC. I think it concerned parts for one of my race cars, can't remember what though.

    Hi guys,

I have had a massive response to the add and are working a lot at the same time. I'm e-mailing you guys pictures and info as much as I have time to.

I will also not sell the car before all - serious - buyers have got their fair chance to evaluate the pictures and info.

Just so you know were things are. Sorry for the slow response to you who have still not recieved pictures.

    / Jonas
