Has anyone Plastidiped any of their parts (wheels, hoods, trim, etc.)? If so, what were your results like?

Peels off easy. Did my seat belt brackets since they are now exposed with my new seats and I barely touched it with wrench and it peeled. I had them bead blasted and I sprayed 15 coats and let it dry 24 hours between every 3 coats. Maybe it works better when dipped.

I used this stuff on a piece of PVC pipe used as a storage container for a 24' telescoping camera mount. It is attached to my roof rack. I don't recall doing any prep work to the PVC, just sprayed it on in 3-4 coats. The thing has been in the elements for over 1 year and shows no sign of deterioration. Pretty amazing stuff. And all the cool kids are painting their cars with it

It works, if you don't touch/scrape/rub against it. The seat belt receivers pivot where the attaching bolt is attached.

Just NOT tough enough...looks correct for original SWB and T6 356 seat belt eyebolts, but won't survive. Just have your powder coater really lay on the coating for those bolts, which is the only thing I can think of you would want to try it on.

I didn't do the bolts. I did the brackets that the bolts attach the receivers to. They were originally dipped with something more vinyl like from the factory. Probably because they were on the sides of the seat upholstery. They were removed from my stock 69 seats needing a new coating and installed on my new sport seat sliders. Plast-dip on the bolts would have been destroyed instantly with a wrench.

used it on the chrome bumpers of my truck. drove to maryland and back, + another 2000 miles and only one hole so far. the key I think is multiple layers.

Those angel brackets on my original '69 T were just old thick German paint, not any special coating. I was referring to the SWB/356 eyebolts.
