    Early 901/904 LSD

I am trying to find some photographs of the early 904/901 type LSD units.

I have a few photographs showing one end of the unit bot nothing showing the end where the CWP mounts.

Does anyone have photos of one of these diffs without the CWP fitted and without the bearing?

I am trying to complete a photo record of these early units as a basic reference.

Chris do you need pictures of just the unit itself? (before it's installed). Mine is currently out and I can possibly take the picture you are after.

I would be keen to have photographs of the outside of the unit before the bearings are installed - if possible - and before the CWP is fitted.

I don't need any photos of the internals as I already have quite a few of these.

If you could find time to take a few external pictures I would be grateful.

    Regards

    Chris

    What is the CWP ?
I have an original early pamphlet for the ZF diff.
I have a NOS case for the ZF diff, could take pictures, but the bearing area doesn't look any different than an open diff, of course one end is open and the cap is bolted to the case. I don't have the end cap.

Sorry - I should have translated - as has been said Crown Wheel and Pinion - which does indeed translate to Ring and Pinion.

The photographs are very helpful and it looks as if the flange is attached to the body by welding, which I imagine would have saved money.

I have been looking for an original pamphlet for ages but have failed to find one.

Do you think you will manage to find an end case?

If I could find measurements I would be prepared to make a drawing and a few spares.

Chris will you be making the flanges as well?

I have some flanges that convert from Nadella to Lobro and could make the original Lobro style if there was any demand.

I would need to make at least 4 pairs to make it worthwhile.

Chris, to get things straight, can you make female lobro style flanges?

    I am interested.
