Introduction - finally got an early car (hope OK to post this here)

I've been lurking on here a long time, watching the classifieds and reading misc. posts while shopping for a car. Somewhere along the way I got my heart set on the color Olive and had largely given up hope of finding one and so was looking for a car that was already a color change that I could paint.

Anyway, I finally got a car (a bit of a long story) so I thought I should post a quick intro because I'm sure I will have some questions (or just BS) to post. I've been around Porsches most of my life but there's always something new to learn.

Anyway, the car: 1971 911T coupe with some S upgrades - original Olive 3939 color. Two or 3 owner car (depends how you count - one guy owned it twice). No rust I can find. It does have some "updates" done in the 80's by the PO which I am reversing (ugly fiberglass bumpers, later seats, plastic grille, etc.). Try to picture it with the steel S bumper, correct rear bumper and Abarth muffler I have and plan to install shortly. I also have factory sport seats that I am waiting on funds to re-uphoster.

    Thanks for reading,
    Brian

    Waiting for an Olive car?
Good grief, you must have the patience of Job. Way to go.

We used to service an Olive '70 T coupe back in the '70's-'80's and we all agreed that it resembled meconium (a baby's first turd).

    Now I think it's a cool color. (??)

Frank has hit on the essence of Olive. There is never a "Meh" response - it's either "Cool color" or "Eew, baby poop". And he switched sides - awesome, welcome to the fold.

Seriously, I appreciate the positive responses.
