Irish green with light yellow fuchs

    Hi all,

I am searching for some more pictures and options for a new project for an Irish Green race car.

Love the look of the picture below and looking for some more pictures of it as they are hard to find!

    Any help would be great.

    Regards,

    Alex

    Alex,

…………love this kind of thread. Proves there are still individuals out there who look beyond the everyday routines.

I too have long admired this car and have collected one additional shot to the one you posted.

I'm also attaching another shot of an Irish Green 911 with yellow accents, but I believe that one uses a more pure & brilliant yellow, something along the lines of Signal Yellow. If I may donate a gratis opinion, I think the 'more yellow' color goes better with the Irish Geen, since the car with the off-center stripe seems to have a green tint in the yellow.

Best of Luck with your scheme and plans………….please close the loop and post results when done, whichever you choose.

    Thanks John,

Agree that the stripe on that car is slightly lighter, almost Champagne Yellow!

Thanks for the picture - Will certainly post once done. Here is the car now.

    Colored fuchs

This is a lousy photo of a magazine page (dec 2013 GTPorsche), but the red/orange Fuchs look good...

    Alex,

it occurs to me that the old Lotus organization under Colin Chapman used BRG and yellow for many years to good effect. A very closely associated part of their livery were the famous "wobblies", the unique wheels used on Team Lotus race cars, which were usually painted yellow in their entirety with only the outside lip of the wheel polished ( see attached photo, please ).

Have you considered this treatment for the Fuchs wheels on your car.
