Thread: FS: 1975 911 Euro Carrera Clone

FS: 1975 911 Euro Carrera Clone

    1975 911 20th Anniversary Car
    White with red

    The good:
    Real Carrera flares
Well-built 2.7L MFI engine (compression and leak down good)
    H1 headlights
    7 and 8X15 Fuchs
    180mph speedo
    7200 RPM redline tach
    No rust
    Never been whacked
    Solid car
    Smog exempt in California
    CLEAN TITLE

    The bad:
Stamped VIN on chassis was difficult to read, and the VIN tag in the trunk is missing, so it has CA DMV replacement tags installed in the trunk above the stamped VIN and in the driver's door jamb where the DOT sticker would normally be. TITLE IS 100% CLEAN
No VIN tag on A-pillar as it's a Euro clone
    Needs an interior
    Needs tires
Paint is good but not great
    Phony duck tail
    PIAA fog lights

This is a really good car. Originally built by a shop owner in Southern CA for himself, but he was (tragically) afflicted with MS and could not use the car. He sold it on to the current owner who has not driven it much. The car is a hell of a performer, but it is also just as happy to putter along in traffic. Probably less than 10,000mi on the car since it was built in its current configuration, but I have no way of knowing and neither does the seller.

I would call the car very well-built and, personally, I'd be happy to own it. If the car were mine I'd do the following: new tires, ditch the PIAAs, change out the seats, steering wheel and dashboard, install a sport muffler and drive the wheels off the car. Beyond that it needs nothing.

Asking price is $37,500. The motor alone would cost you $25K to build, and finding an unmolested 1975 911 is getting more and more difficult these days. This a great 2.7L MFI hotrod that'll cost you significantly less than a real 1974/5 Euro Carrera and deliver as much, if not more, fun.

Pictures are finally posted ... feel free to PM or email me if you have any specific questions but, please, do not call the shop to discuss the car. Email or PM through the board only. If you want to speak on the telephone please leave your telephone number and the best time call you. Email address is: TLG_Porsche @ yahoo.com

Finally got around to taking some bad photos of a good car.

It dawned on me at 3am today that this car is a Silver Anniversary car which explains the 936 color code. Duh....sometimes the obvious eludes us.

I'm not sure why the forum keeps flipping my photos, but it's super annoying and I apologize to all.

Quite a few people have emailed and come by to see the car ... price is not set in stone ... reasonable offers will be considered.
