    901/08 Case number question

I looked at a car today that is a '68 911T VIN 11820062. The engine number is 2080067. My books show these are correct for a '68 911T. However the case number looks to be a 901/08. All my books are saying it should be a 901/03. I want to make the 8 a 3 but I am reasonably certain it is infact an 8 which would make this an S case. Any thoughts?

I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing your "08" is really "03"
    I think a '68s engine number would be 408xxxx, and a '68t would be 208xxxx

Based on the build # it should be a 901/03; an /08 there could be a typo.
