    FS: @autohaushamilton.com.au - 1971 2.2 S

My car for sale - 1971 2.2 S RHD in Sydney
Originally a UK delivery,it arrived here in February 1979.
Ensuing property of 3 PC Queensland Presidents and a Melbourne collector,I have owned this car for 10 years 3 months.
Much (probably too much ?) money spent in that time to arrive at a very high standard, both cosmetically and at a driving level.
On consignment with Autohaus Hamilton,Sydney - have a look see.

    Cheers,
    Dennis.

1970 914-6 - materialised from the 'Lotto' garage into reality
    1971 2.2 911 S - now back in the UK - sob!
1975 Carrera Targa (ROW) - missed.
One of us is fast becoming a valuable antique.

    9111300760

    VIN = 9111300760
    Eng# = 6311277
    Trans# = ?

. . . . The 2.2L 911S was introduced for the 1970 / 71 model years and received the 180 BHP spec engine with Bosch mechanical fuel injection. The S designates it as the top of the range model available at that time. Porsche quotes just 1420 coupes and 788 Targas sold worldwide, RHD versions were a very small proportion of the total figure, thus making this a very rare Porsche indeed.
This particular car was delivered new in March 1971 to the UK and is a genuine matching chassis # / engine # car, in its original colour of silver metallic with black interior. Its original options were electric sunroof, electric windows, tinted windows, black leatherette with corduroy centres and rear wiper . . .

. . . In 1979 the car was imported to sunny Australia ( no more salted roads ) with approx. 9500 miles ( documented ) on the clock by an Australian expat, since that time it has remained in Australia and appears to have had 3 Porsche club QLD president owners, one Victorian owner and 2 Sydney owners . . .

. . . The car comes with a very thick folder of documentation dating from 1978 right through to todays date. The documentation has left us in no doubt that the mileage is correct and that the 5 digit odometer has only travelled around once hence total mileage appears to be 163395 miles. It is also a car we know very well having maintained it since 2004. Over the years the car has received much attention, with invoices showing 2 engine rebuilds ( 1980 and 1994 ) and 2 gearbox rebuilds ( mid eighties and 1993 ) plus all the other normal maintenance you would expect a car like this to receive . . .

. . . Body wise, the invoices show remedial work in 1986 and a major body refurb in 2006 ( $31k worth ) which resulted in confirmation that the car has not had any major crash repair and that the shell was straight. Front guards were replaced along with a handful of other small rust repairs and a complete glass out respray in the original colour was carried out with photographic proof. It still presents beautifully to this day. Other recent work includes, refurbishment of front seats in hounds tooth, new head lining, new 85L factory plastic fuel tank, new Koni classic shock absorbers, SSI heat exchangers, wheels refurbished to correct finish, etc . . .

. . . We have just put the car through our workshop for its yearly service and carried out a compression and leak down test to which it passed with excellent figures . . .

. . . Comes with the original Durant mirror ( Flag style fitted for better visibility ) comes with original clock ( voltage meter fitted in place at the moment ) genuine 6' Fuchs spare wheel and a number of other period spares . .
    .

    Aus $165.9k
