FS: 74-75 Carrera "fat rim" steering wheel, very nice

This is the steering wheel that was used on the early short-hood Carreras and optional on other cars of the period, indluing the early turbos. It is in very good shape. The leather is soft and has a nice feel. There are a few small scuff marks but nothing I would call "patina", which seems to be a word used lately that means "needs recovering before use".

I don't know the full history of this wheel, as it came on a Carrera I bought in the 1990's. I'm guessing that the leather cover is the original one, as it has that peculiar grain seen in Porsche wheels of the period and I believe it has been re-stitched at some point in its life. The wheel experts seem to think so anyway, although there are no impressions visible in the leather from a different pattern.

Regardless, it's nice enough to use without recovering or reconditioning. $950, plus shipping and insurance from 74137.
