Leistritz versus Dansk
Hello:
I own a 1970 S. It has a one out regular Dansk muffler. I am thinking of switching over to an oem Leistritz, as it is oem and because I am getting an exhaust vibration at idle (900 rpm).
Does anyone know if the Leistritz will have this same vibration and the characteristics of each exhaust, so I can figure this out?
Thanks and happy holiday to all!

Hi John,
My car is fitted with a Leistritz exhaust muffler.......never vibrations........there's no such thing as OEM !

Another Way
I specifically sought out a Leistritz because it was what was on the car when I bought it. It's also the unit that Porsche engineered for the car, so I could expect it to fit/work/etc properly . . .
. . . which it has
May not be the prettiest/sexiest-looking piece under the back o' the Nasty Car, but --- IMO . . . . . . . . . . fits/works/looks perfect, especially on something that's already 40-some-years-old
It's also --- like a lotta other 'stock' type parts . . . getting kinda hard to find --- especially in more-or-less presentable/usable condition. I'd considered using an after-market SS system --- in terms of looks + durability, nothing beats stainless, but . . . I got lucky and found decent OEM bits to do the job, had Marco @TLG stick 'em in
Some fettling --- donked outlet . . . but no painting or re-finishing or goofing around
Even sounds good. Go figure

There'll always be after-market
