Just read about these Becker Mexico units in OCTANE. Very cool way to keep a retro look but be able to use your iPod, Bluetooth, etc. Check it out...

Very cool, but a little too 1960's for my taste. Also the 1,500 Euro price is a bit steep.
I would love to see a modern take on the Blaupunkt Frankfurt with modern electronics. I'd buy a few them them.

Very very cool, if I had a 65,66, or 73 911, the cars with the Mexico as an option, I would get one. But with a 71S, I'm with Brooke, an updated Blaupunkt Frankfurt with blue tooth, MP3, SAT radio, voice control, and what the hell, a tilt out DVD screen with GPS, would do it for me. Well for 1500 Euros it should have all that and more. Is shipping included? :D
I love it. If I could find one for five or six hundred bucks, I'd own it.
I'm no purist, and to me, the ultra '60's "hi-fi" look of the Becker Mexico is WAY cooler than the Blaupunkt Frankfurt. And when I posted the thread, I was going from the mention in OCTANE where the price was incorrectly listed at 199 pounds. Or maybe I read it that way. Too bad because at $500, Santa would have put one under the tree for me. No way I'm paying $2,000 US.
Reminds me that I need to do some horse trading with my dad for either the Becker Mexico on the shelf, or the Blaunpunkt in his 1969 MB.
Lot's of features listed. Anyone have a sense of how many are useful/useable here in the States?
Price is nuts, too. Oh well, I think I'll go ahead and blank out my dash where the radio was. :)
Same here...still prefer the music of the engine over the radio in these ol girls.
I recently got a nice Blaupunkt Frankfurt on ebay and hooked up my Sirius radio through an FM modulator that plugs right into the antenna port. There is also one that will enable me to hook in an iPod the same way. I dont care about any of the othe gadgets, but it is nice to have music on long drives.

I've got these two radios for anyone interested.
