Just got off the phone with the 3rd owner of the Manhattan award car. He said the car was originally a special order by Robert Wood (Wheel finishing) as a '64 Cadillac color, probably Palomino Metallic. The Porsche factory named it Grey Beige Metallic.
I was also told by the 3rd owner that when the factory did a special color, they 'always' did three cars the same to make it worth their while... (not sure about that.) He did say the factory put a color stamp on it, but doesn't remember what the number was....
