I have a 1990-91 964 3.6L engine for sale. Bought it 3 years ago and plans have changed. Was in an 72 RSR hot rod that had the right MFI style engine put back in it. Was running when pulled. Setup for 915 transmission and early long hood engine bay. Custom exhaust that fits an early car. Has the entire engine harness, relay board and ECU. I’ll even thrown in an oil tank if you want it.

Bump, here is the full story:
This is a good used running Porsche 3.6L air cooled engine. Originally from a 1991 964 type M64/02 serial number 62M50xxx. It was last in a 1972 Porsche 911 and is set up to go back in an early 911 with a 915 gearbox. Flywheel/clutch fits a 915, power steering capped off, large tube RSR headers run into a custom muffler made for 3.6 but setup like an early hotdog muffler. This engine ran well - it is running known good condition with everything to make it run: complete fuel injection system with brain, relay board with 2 coils, fuel pump and lines, wire harness, air box etc. Leak down test #1. #2. #3. #4. #5. #6.
Interesting history on this engine- it was in a 1972 911S converted to an RSR by the infamous John Paul Sr/Jr drug smugglers. The RSR engine was pulled from that car and this exact 3.6L was in the car for 30yrs until it was recently converted back to RSR spec. You can see the car on YouTube with Magnus talking about it. One of the previous owners of the car sold me this engine 4 years ago when he put an RSR type engine back in. The story wash chronicled on Pelican forums. That doesn’t make this engine worth more but it’s interesting.
